SONG WORDS:
CRUSIN’ ARIZONA
Cool Water
All day I face the barren waste, without a taste of water – cool water,
All day and night my throat burns dry and my soul it cries for water,
Cool, clear, water.
Keep a movin Dan, don’t you listen to him Dan, he’s a devil not a man
And he spreads the burning sands with water.
Dan can’t you see that big oak tree where the waters running free
And its waiting there for you and me….water,
Cool, clear water.
Arizona State Song
(Chorus)
Come to this land of sunshine, to this land where life is young.
Where the wide, wide world is waiting, the songs that will now be sung.
Where the golden sun is flaming, into warm, white shining day.
And the sons of men are blazing, their priceless right of way.
(Verse II)
Not alone for gold and silver is Arizona great,
But with graves of heroes sleeping all the land is consecrate.
O, come and live beside us, however far ye roam,
Come and help us build up temples and name those temples “home”.
Crusin’ Arisona
Crusin’ Arizona in our SUV, going round the corners there’s so much to see.
Happy to be livin in a state so fine, boy I am so lucky to have family time,
There’s so much we can see, cruse along with me,
Child 1: Mom he’s touching me,
Child 2: This is my side of the seat,
Child 3: Mom he’s touching me again
Dad: You kids stop that fighting or I’m going to pull this car over and….
Crusin’ Arizona, cruse along with me – repeat
Crusin’ Arizona in our SUV, mountain tops and painted rocks are waiting for me.
Slippery rock, Tombstone, and the canyon grande,
Meteors, saguaro’s and lots of sand,
There’s so much we can see, cruse along with me.
Children: Are we there yet, are we there yet etc (x 4)
Mom and Dad: No (between each are we there yet)
Mom: Can’t you kids say anything else?
Children: We’re hungry
Crusin Arizona on our ATV’s, scorpians and cactus keep attacking me,
Dodging javalinas and a quail family, rattlesnakes and rabbits and coyotes,
There’s so much we can see, cruse along with me.
Child: I have to go to the bathroom,
Child: Mom he ran down the battery on the gameboy
Child: Do we have to look out the window, I want to watch another movie
Child: Dad, the dog threw-up in the backseat again
Mom: Next time, lets just stay home,
Dad: You’ve got that right –besides its in Arizona too.
Great State of Arizona
Let’s all learn some facts about the great state of Arizona,
Let’s take us a grand look around,

And see what kind of wonders can be found,
We’ve learned the meaning of the flag,
And other symbols too.
We’ve learned the counties A to Y
And we’ll say them all for you,

It rises from a field of blue into the rays of the setting sun.

Thirteen rays for the first 13 states,
Blue and gold are Arizona’s colors.
These are symbols of Arizona

Arizona’s 5 C’s
Cattle and citrus and climate and copper and cotton combine to make our state the finest, Yes, cattle and citrus and climate and copper and cotton the 5 C’s of Arizona
Too Hot to Tango
Hot, hot, it’s so very, very hot, hot,
And when it’s too hot to tango, then comes the rain-o
The monsoon will cool me down,
It’s so hot, hot it’s so very, very hot, hot
And when it’s too hot to tango, dance a fandango, til the winter comes,
When it’s cool, oh so cool, not so hot but oh, so very cool
It’s so hot, hot. It’s so very, very hot, hot.
And when it’s too hot to tango, we’ll make a change-o,
To the Mountain tops, where it’s not too hot, it’s not too hot,
It’s not too hot, to Tango.
Cowboys Lament
As I walked out in the streets of old Tucson,
As I walked out in old Tucson one day,
I spied an old cowboy dressed up in fine clothing
All dressed in fine clothing and then he did say.
I see by your outfit that you are a cowboy,
I see by your outfit the you’re a cowboy too,
We see by our outfits that we are both cowboys,
If you get an outfit, you can be a cowboy too.
Hey Na
Hey nay yah nah, hey yah, hey yah nah, Hey day yah nah, hey yah hey yo, hey yah hey yo. I walk in beauty, yes I do, yes I do, I talk in beauty yes I do, yes I do, I live in beauty yes I do and just for you hey yah, hey yah hey yo.

INFORMATION LETTER 2009/2010
Dear Parents and students,
Welcome to another year at Painted Sky, and welcome to Mrs. Marcy’s music class. I am looking forward to another great year of music learning.
Here are some items that you will find helpful regarding music class this year.
Grading
Students in all grades may earn an S in music by coming to class, participating, and acting appropriately.
If the grade is lower than an S it will be due to poor class participation or behavior.
If your student is in 4th or 5th grade, and they choose to earn an S+ or an O in music class, they must complete homework assignments and turn them in to receive credit. Some homework opportunities will be made available during school time, but the majority of these assignments will need to be done by the student on their own time.
Here is the breakdown for homework credit:
4th Grade – 2 homework assignments each term to earn an S+
3 for an O
5th Grade – 3 homework assignment each term to earn an S+
4 for as O
Please be aware that even if your student turns in 4 homework assignments if their participation or behavior in class is not appropriate, they will not receive an O.
ALL homework assignments must be completed and turned into the homework file on or before the following dates.
· December 10th
· March 11th
NO late work will be accepted. I have to have my grades turned into the classroom teachers in time for report cards.

What is the Name of the Song you have listed as "Hey Na-I walk in beauty"? Or do you know how I can find a copy of that song?
Thank you
